Can anyone help, My wife and I are PR here in Singapore. However I have 2 step sons who have also been resident here for 5 years studying. Now the eldest has completed his studies and would like to stay here and work. But he has no standing apart from remaining here on a social visitors pass, he can easily find low paid work which he is happy to do, but of course employers will not sponsor EP, and the new system does not come into place before July. One option is to sponsor him for PR, but we are unsure of the national service issues.

Should anyone have some ideas or words of advice they would be most welcomed.

You can sponsor your child for residency but he will definitely be called up for National Service.
