What I have been hearing is that you need to consider your individual circumstances which is probably favourable when you don't have a wife or two kids. BTW, can help, what sort of work do you do? I'm $120K here so I would be interested to know if you are in the same industry (which would give me an idea about the market pays). Thanks to everyone who has contributed.

Pete66 I work in BD/Mgmt for a small marketing co here. S$120K is a good wage here but as Bewildered pointed out, it's just my spending patterns that are getting to me! ie western restaurants, bars etc.
