Tunis - Anyone ever lived/worked?

Looking at a possible move to Tunis, Tunisia.   Has anyone on this board ever lived or worked there?  I am looking for typical advice related to living there.  i.e. housing, shopping, transportation, rental agents.

Since my review of the web has revealed very little data I am open to any leads whatsoever.

I have lived in Tunis but am afraid it won't be helpfull for you, since I was a kid and it was 30 years ago!

Anyway I very much appreciated living there, and now return for holidays with my kids.

Hi Derek,

My husband and I were there at this time of the year last year and we lived there for 3 months. We were interested in staying in a serviced apartment but information about the rental property was not easy to obtain. Once we were there, we found that the local papers (French or Arabic papers only) were a good source. I have some friends in Tunis whom I can get in touch with for more information on the property market. If you are interested, please give me your email address and I will contact you.
