English Language Training

[Singapore Brit]

I am considering setting up an English Language training company in Singapore offering seminars to companies who wish to improve the Communications Skills of their staff.  I would appreciate Feedback as to whether you feel there is a market for such services, is there much competition, does the government offer subsidies to companies using such a service etc.

i may be wrong but i think the demand for your services would be rare.

business communication is already covered in the tertiary education system in singapore although one wonders...

however i agree with you that seminars, training workshops or anything along that line have got a lot of potential here.

Thanks so much for the reply....what would this board be without you.  To explain my concept a little further, although Singaporeans would certainly find little use for the service, there are many expats from other parts of Asia working here whose English, specifically for those in the service industry, could be improved.  Using specialist language schools is out of the price range of most companies but a low cost, in-house training solution could be the way to go.  Any input?
