How would you compare std of living and living costs between Singapore and Dubia ?

For example,

* Housing
* Schooling
* Car
* Trips Home
* Medical

My situation:

Current package is $240k SGD. How much do you need in Dubai comparatively ?

About to enter negotiations for a Senior IT Manager Role for the Port Authority.

I have 3 kids (ages 6,5,1)  2 at Tanglin and not sure on schooling and not sure on the potential hidden costs ?

Thanks all.

Housing
This is probably one of your highest cost and its going up by about 30% to 40% yearly.
A villa (with 3 bedrooms) will cost at least Dhs130,000/year depending on the area.

Schooling
Schools fees here costs around Dhs21,000/year/child to Dhs35,000/year/child.

Car
This is the cheapest of all, especially 2nd hand cars.  A 4 yr old Jaquar cost around Dhs100,000/-  A 2 yr old Pajero cost around Dhs80,000/-

Trips Home
Getting tickets through travel agents are much cheaper.  Adult costs about Dhs2,000 return to S'pore with children paying about 75% and infant paying 25%.

Medical
This is costly.  Consultation cost Dhs280/- and all else is extra.  Best to get company to insure the whole family
