Why does everybody in SG require a photograph as a part of a job application?

Those of us who are not attractive feel that we are being discriminated on the basis of our photos.

It works both ways.  You may be employed to make your boss look pretty.  I sent in a photo of the back end of a bus, and still got the job.

I have been told that it helps the employer remember you. *shrugs*  I think that being attractive plays apart in employment here, like it or not.

I had a friend who was working with a recruitment agency and I couldn't believe half of the things the clients tell her as pre-requisites for a job as simple as a receptionist.

Let's be honest here....ever been in a employing situation?

Ever had two equal candidates, but one is really good looking and the other looks like they have been dragged behind a bus?

Who would you go for...hmmmmmmmmmmm....

It happens every day.....we all want the eye candy.
