Hi,
I'm an engineer in Singapore with a degree from a top university in the US. I've since discovered that staying in engineering generally doesn't lead to a very bright career, but due to unusual personal circumstances, I have to remain in engineering for the next 4 years or so.
My question is, what steps should I take to make myself marketable, so that I can move into something more lucrative like Finance (IBanking, trading, investing, or Venture Capital) or do a MBA at a top university after 4 years?
I'm thinking of doing a CFA - will passing the CFA exams put me in a good position to get a good job at a financial firm?
Thanks.
