Hi there

We (Wife and I) are planning to visit expat relatives in Sg and would love to work in Singapore.

Have a lot of experience in Sales and Marketing for IT products in Europe and North America - "on the road" and up to executive/VP level positions for mainly IT security and Networking companies.

- Does anyone have any  suggestions or advice or contacts for openings in Sales/Marketing forIT security companies.

Any comments appreciated.

Thanks

Not sure if the agencies are any use, from what I have read on this board, but TMP could be a starting point - if anyone is already working in this area they should be able to let you know who is growing.

Thanks for the info - the agencies I have contacted seem slow to respond - I guess they are just reacting to the requests for staff that they are given.

I found that in Europe and the US that most of the best opportunities/candiidates came from networking/reccomendations, does this apply in Sing marketplace ?

hey itchfeet - have been working in the IT security arena for 3 plus years both here and in Oz... There is huge demand for people with experience (generally US/Euro companies bring people out for senior positions) - as you would know security always sells even in a tight market. I would try contact the companies directly RSA, Checkpoint, StoneSoft (currently hiring I believe)... All have or are setting up ops here...

Thanks for the info and encouragement and I will certainly start some speculative enquiries - I guess the upcoming trade show, in Singapore, would be a good starting point.
