serious question here.

I am looking to relocate to Singapore, where I have worked before, and am looking to target multinationals who still offer expatriate packages to senior middle managers.

I now work for an international bank in HK in a very specialised operational support role - I cannot say what this is as the field is too small and I can't afford for any potential readers to see this message.

I would consider a move to another international bank or investment bank but would also consider a move across industries to other, good, multinationals in just about any field .  My discipline is transferrable across industries.

I am presently a regional manager for my function which equates to director level, or thereabouts in i-banks.  In real terms my present role is quite senior .

Would anyone be able to identify a few of the better multinationals who still offer expatriate packages to my sort?

Many thanks for your help.

I suggest you contact a few of the HH to discuss expat packages.  They are generally pretty hopeless professionally but will have a view re: expat vs local hires.  Generally we all know employers want expat experience and talent but want to pay "local" packages.  Mainly to contain their efficiency ratio's but if you can you will; it is the way of the world in a supply and demand situation you have to have something special to offer to get an expat deal.  I also put it to you that if you want an expat deal don't approach the local business unit who has the authority to hire local but not expat; generally expat's are hired by head office.  So if you want to work for Barclays Capital in SG as an expat you should be hired by Barclays PLC in London and assigned to SG.  Local GM's generally do NOT have authority to hire expats (there may be exceptions).  As an expat you would want to be a global resource and fall under the unbrella of parent company policy and package.  So pick your companies; US, Brit or European but approach their respective headoffices regarding the jobs not the local's.
