Hi there, I'm looking for some assistance and advice. My wife and I have the opportunity for a two year minimum placement in Singapore. Working in funds management (distribution) it would be a change in role for me from current. I currently work in finance and receive AUD$330k gross including bonus. I am wondering what sort of dollars/package is standard fo rthis type of role in Sing. I have a Bachelors Degree with Post Grad qualifications and 10 years experience in corporate arena. Any assistance greatly appreciated.  Thanks

My husband isn't in your industry but he negotiated to keep the equivalent of his UK salary in Singapore - taking into account the tax here is 40% and in SG it's 22% (I think?) it's a VERY good deal.

Costs the company no more but he gets the benefit of the tax and company will also pay rent (S$15k per month) utilities and car rental.

Remember, they're offering YOU the opportunity so make it work for you and your family.  The perks make it worthwhile disrupting your home life for.

If you are being offered a placement here for 2 years, they will more than remunerate you, and considering the cost of living here is lower than where you are, and that your housing ought to be paid for by the company, you should end up substantially better off.
