HI
Im staying in Singapore for 10 days from Monday(4/11) next week on a job finding mission. can anybody out there suggest the best agencies to contact for hospitality jobs.. and the cheapest places to stay...
If anyone wants to meet up for a chat on the lowdown on Sg with an English lad from Dubai they are most welcome!!! any USEFUL advice most welcome!

My advice would be to not get involved in conversation with McBain about anything, it all goes off thread and results in BM edits, not that he's protected by the BM of course.

Send me an e-mail and I'll do what I can to help, firstly you may wish to start with any contacts you do have in Singapore and avoid recruitment agencies because they are crap.

Do as much work via web before coming (though short time).

Also, you may want to know that your first day here (Monday 4th) is a public holiday.  So, that may limit your activites on that day in terms of job seeking.

What are Hospitality jobs anyway? Not familiar with that job area. Maybe can offer you some leads after finding out more about it and yr experience

im a bar manager in Dubai and have good experience as a chef in London, I really want to get something in the hotel industry or pub/nightclub scene. the 10 days is only a taster as i am moving there permanantly with my beter half in December but want to do as much reaserch as poss. if anyone can help id be well chuffed!! cheers

Saw a bar/club manager positon advertised at the Terror Club in Sembawa.   It services the US military and their families.  You could call the US embassy for info about how to get in touch with the people who hire for this positon.   Don't remember the pay but I thought it was pretty descent for here.

thanks for the advice... i found a job in 4 days so i guess i was lucky!! im back in Singapore in December and cant wait, thanks to everybody's help!!!
