Hi... i'm an architect from bangalore who's been assigned to work in Singapore by his company.
I will shortly be negotiating for my revised package with the company and I would appreciate some pointers, namely:

1. I have a culminative post qualification exp of 5 years, most of it working on large commercial projects for American MNCs back in bangalore. What kind of pay would a similar role get in the average large architecture company in Singapore

2. i am being sent here by the company on company work. Is it common for expats in Singapore to ask for return airfare... if so, how many times a year is the general practice?

3. Anything other pointer that i should know about would be helpful. :-)

i know that a salary is a subjective topic, but some kind of range of salary should help me tackle the finance drones when I meet them.

If they're sending you here you should definately be getting at least one return airfare per year, don't settle for less.

While i don't specifically know anyone working in architecture firms in singapore, i woud say at least $5k. Quite possibly more although if you're having to ask for a return airfare they will probably be trying to squeeze you dry for much less.
