Hi there,

Need some feedback from expat in Singapore.

I got an offer from one of the MNC Consulting company in Singapore. The cash component  is around S$110K.

I will be moving from Australia and I am wandering  what will that get me in Singapore.

Thanks

You're wandering?  Probably not much then, you will need to stay put and work hard to get paid.

What will it get you?  How long is a piece of string?

It will get you S$9166.66 per month.  Other than that, more info needed.  Single, married, wife working, kids, int'l school?

It's a pleasant cash component - but I hope there is also accom, car, club and school fees on top.  If so - you're fine

I am married but no kid. My wife may work if she is allowed.

The same amount in Australia allows me to have a decent lifestyle - live in nice house in decent mid class suburb, car,  weekly dine-out/entertainment, holidays etc

to consultant: I am still waiting for their response on benefit component.

Assume the worst case, no benefit component  . What will that get me in Singapore.

What is the top 3 benefits I should ask from them ?

Thanks

110K without benefit is livable. Depends on your lifestyle you may still be able to save  sizeable amount and splurge on a lot of thing.

However if you can get benefits, it's even better! First off is accomodation, then medicals, and then only other things like car probably (it's not very common to give car here imho, but hey, I'm not from the same industry as you).
