Like to comment on the above if you dont mind..
As a headhunter, we try our best to educate both the candidates and the clients in terms of discrimination, job scope, available talent in Singapore or elsewhere..and most of clients are pretty open to us..afterall, they need to find someone who can fit the culture of the "company"...this works to the benefit of the candidate as well..aside from the job, one has to feel that they are able to blend in...
In terms of expats getting jobs here..Singapore promotes foreign talent ..however, there are criterias in terms of skills needed, qualifications...afterall, your work pass has to be approved by MOM where majority of companies dont have the authority to do so..
So discrimination is your own perception..Are you able to welcome "change" and learn something new..or do you have a mindset? There is no right or wrong...
Good headhunters match personalities to personalities and to culture...which creates a win win situation for all.
So if you are not able to get that job ..find out what are the skills that are urgently needed in that particular country..this helps..
Thank you for your time
