I am an Indian,MBA Marketing at SeniorExecutive position ,with 10+years experience in Sales/Marketing in various industries, the last 5 being IT.

What chance do  u think I might have in
getting a job in S'pore?

Is there any job agencies that u cud suggest (other than the Jobsearch sites)
who can do the job of placing executives.

Is it fruitful to land in S'pore and search
for jobs?

I wud be very happy to hear from u guys.

Thank u all.

Do you aware that the IT jobs is more in India now?

Job hunting using agent would be better. Singapore does need foreign talent, but a the moment the market is shrinking with lots of retrenchment.

Anyway, keep on trying, since it is nothing to lose to apply

I would not recommend a shift at the moment. Singapore is going through a difficult economic phase. While there are always openings for talented guys, the general market is down and overall scenario is not bright. It is best to contact the indian wing/branch of a company to place you in their Singapore operations.
I donot know any of the job hunting agencies out here and hence cant help you.

Optima - I came to Singapore in Mar'02 on a P1 pass.  I applied for PR in Dec 30, '02 and received approval by Jan 16, '03 for the whole family (wife and two kids). If you've produced all the docs that
they require you should not have any problems.

I’m just putting the paper together for applying to a PR. Any tips from you guys?

I’ve been in Singapore for a couple of years in a P2 pass and I’m single in my late twenties.

Does the country of origin make any difference? Having a South American passport is a problem with the immigration authorities in some Countries…
