I currently live in London and work for an American Investment Bank as an Assistant on the Trading Floor.  I am moving out to Singapore in September with my partner who has been offered a job.

I have about 10 years secretarial/personal assistant positions for senior management within bluechip companies.  I have shorthand, and advanced knowledge of many computer packages.

Do you know any expats out there who may be looking for an assistant?  Are there any specific recruitment agencies I should contact or are there local newspapers I should get hold of?  Also how much can I expect to earn?

I will gladly forward my cv on to anyone who is interested.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Sorry to say, but many companies that hire admin assistants are looking for assistants that speak english and manadrin unless you can find work with an American or British or European company. You can also look into working for one of the embassys. The pay is not very good for assistants here it is around S$1700 a month. Maybe you could find a assistant job for a VP somewhere and earn more. I would look into the Strait Times and Headhunters. The local companies pay people with masters degree around S$2000  a month.  Good luck
