Since I'm home most of the time, I am thinking to do some part time work from home. I heard if I work less than some number of hours, I don't have to pay taxes. What is the max hours/income for tax-free?

This site has been very educational to me. Thanks!

It is not the hours.  It is how much you make per year.  After allowed reliefs, S$4999.99 is non taxable.  Since everyone is allowed a personal relief of $3000, you are safe with almost S$8000 gross.  Whether you can earn more tax free depends on what other reliefs you qualify for.  Anyway, in general S$8000 is a good measuring stick.
