I have a formal dinner dance to attend the end of February and am having some difficulty finding dresses!  I have asked some of his local employees that will also be attending the event where I should shop and they will not tell me!  Something about giving away their secrets and they wouldn't want me to buy the same dress!!

So, I am appealing to you.....dear Message Board readers....please give me a few suggestions for shops!  I have tried the major dept stores but find them fairly picked over since the Holidays....

Thank you!

Why not get something made?  You have enough time and it is relatively inexpensive.  And you know it will fit you perfectly!

I get a lot of things at Zann & Denn in Pagoda Street, CHinatown, by the Sri M temple.  They are fab and can make coordinating bags and georgette shawls.

You can get shoes made from same fabric or coordinating from Leapin' Lizards too - can't remember the shopping centre name but it's at the end of Robinson, or on Anson Road.

No-one else will have the same!

Enjoy your party!

You know..those local employees ought to be shot in the head.  What disgracful selfishness that is!

Here's how to look ace.

1)  La Vie at 4th Flr OUB centre..loads of off the rack evening dresses.  They make wonderful cheongsams too.  And anyone will look ace in a cheongsam.  Just don't get some bright red thing with slit right up to your hips...may make u look like staff from Sin Poh Poh bar or something.

2)  Celia Loe at Takashimaya...she's good at evening dresses as well...particularly if u are slim-built.

3)  Mandarin Hotel arcade..Cinderella boutique.  I love this fella's turn-around time...excellent and she really knows how to make u look right if u explain to her..u know," I have fat legs, I want to elongate my body, I am flat chested..and I need everything by next week."...

If you need extra help with the makeup...My make up artist is very good..He does hair and make up for the evening at your own home.

Shoes...don't be outdone.  Leapin Lizards does wonderful shoes with wonderful turnaround time as well.  I'd get Isaac to attend to your needs if I were you.  He's the best.
