Paul, I must say Thank You for the information you gave me about using 900 mhz phones from the states and how they were illegal here. If you remember I told you my husband went through the house and disconnected ours. Today as I was enjoying Survivor the neighbors dog would NOT stop barking so I finally got up to see what the matter was.....and right there in front of my neighbors house were 2 very serious looking men with some type of meter in their hand. They rang my neighbors doorbell and I could see the maid come out with the cordless phone in her hand, I guess they wrote a bunch of things down and left. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for saving my butt, that could have been me!!

Way too cool!!!  And here someone was trying to convince you that the odds of it happening were slim to none.  I wonder if it was your neighbor who posted that???  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Hey, anytime I can save someone shelling out some cash for a fine, I am more than happy to do so!!!

Gee, I should charge 50% of the fine that was avoided.

Can you elaborate on the issue of 900Mhz phone usage?

900 Mhz phones here are illegal.  They operate in the same frequency as the handphones.  If you use one, you can be fined up to S$10,000.  As this story illustrates, the network engineers can detect you and will report you to the authorities.  Unhook them and put them in storage...unless you have alot of spare cash in need of giving away!!!

I trust you will continue to advise us and keep us out of harm from over the water.

Thanks for your great tip about Command hooks. They work! My only concern is what happens when we try to remove them. By that time you will be ........

If you just follow the directions and pull the adhesive tab staight down, they will do absolutely no harm to your wall.  I have lots of them all over the house (had is more appropriate given our schedule) and I have not even pulled any paint off the wall!

Your right- they come off clean as whistle.
The glass makes hell of a crash on the marble though! No, not your fault. Tried to put too heavy a picture on the hook.

Ouch!  Yea, you definitely have to read and follow label directions.  I too have swept a bit of non-glare framing glass from the floor.  Guess I should have mentioned that as a condition of use.  Sorry 'bout that!
