Does anyone know do you qualify for a class 2b license for motorcycles if you hold a standard UK license or do you have to take a separate test?

Purchase a highway code book, book a test at the Traffic POlice HQ and you can convert. Do it within 12 months or arriving.

I have a "Standard" UK licence in the fact that it is a car licence. There is no such thing as a provisional motorcycle licnce here so if you don't already have a UK motorcycle licence then you will have to sit the full test. I sat the 2B test which took me 4 months to complete going 1 or 2 times per week. Talking to others who had no previous motorcycle experience, it typically took much longer - around 1 year.
If you do however have a UK motorcycle licence then you can apply for a conversion, all you require is to sit the Theory test and voila, you have a class 2 licence.
