Harleys

We are moving there in February, and have been debating whether we should bring my husbands Harley.  My first reaction (after my look-see visit there a month ago) was "no way!".  The way the scooters,etc over there drive and are treated is completely different than what we are used to.  But, after reading some of the posts on this board, I have seen references to a group of HD owners over there.  Anybody have advice/assurance?  Also not sure about the registration, etc that we would have to go through. Is it worth the troublez?

The Harley Club in Singapore is a very nice group of people and a fantastic way to get involved with people who share your interest. Have no idea on the costs of bringing your bike tho - could be prohibative if its the same scheme of various taxes and licenses as for cars.

Thanks - Okay, has anyone brought a bike over, or know anything about the process?  I am betting it is a real ordeal from reading about the car situation there.

A friend of mine has a Harley they bought here in Singapore the taxes are low (compaired to cars) on it. You might want to check out the Government sight that regulates this for the latest import costs.
