Well, my package came through and now I have to figure out what to do with the dog and cat.

Problem is I have to be in Europe a month prior to reporting in Sing and would like to have my animals shipped ahead of time from the states. This way the 30 day quarantine will be over by the time I arrive.

Does anyone have experience with companies that take care of transporting animals and caring for them during the quarantine period?

Breaks my heart that they won't be able to see a familiar face which is why I am deeply concerned about finding a reputable carrier and care facility prior to my arrival.

Can anyone advise?

Seems that I am becoming the pet expert on this board ...

Have a look at www.petmovers.com.sg
This is the company that also operates the quarantine station, so they will probably be the best ones to help you. They can take care of all permits, transport etc. Once the animal is at the quarantine station and you are not able to visit, you can also ask for daily exercise sessions etc. which they will then provide (not free of charge).
They are very helpful, I can speak from my own experience with them. Good Luck!

We also just moved over from the States in October and had an excellent experience with PetMovers.  We brought our two Bassetts with us and they have adjusted beautifully.  We did visit them once per week while they were in quarantine but limited our visits because we found that each time we went to see them, they thought we were there to take them home.  It may work out even better with your timing....and my husband has tried to convince me that animals don't understand the passage of time, so they really won't know how long they have been away from you!  I am not sure I fully agree, but we do get the same tail-wagging and enthusiasm whether we have been apart for 10 minutes or a week!  So, maybe he is on to something!  Good luck with the move!
