 www.magix.com.sg  www.scv.com.sg/maxonline/

These are the two you want to look at. The first one is a Singtel service.

Singnet are now doing ADSL directly instead of through Magix. Go to www.singnet.com.sg  and follow the Broadband link. ISP's are not as cheap as Australia (less competition) but remember you will be paying less tax!

Pacific internet are also offerring the Broadband service, but be aware as the contracts may require one years subscription for access.
I have found their service to be very, well, fast, but dont try to phone their "customer support" line as the local calls are charged on a timed basis here and you are usually put on hold for a long time

Thanks for your replies

How well is the coverage for cable internet, ADSL is just so expensive there At the moment. I'd be prepared to pay $60 a month for unlimited cable internet.

I take it your local phone calls are timed, must really suck !

thanks again

Broad band internet access via a cable modem is $56 month from SCV (if you also sign up for a TV package) Think it might be $99 on its own.
They are currently offering a free 14 inch TV if you pay a years rental up front. www.scv.com.sg
P.S. Its a long cable so you can now surf in your bath!

I have been using ISDN 2 which only gives a (supposedly)64K feed. Actual is only 38K.

Today, I had the cable modem installed and I am more than happy with it. I downloaded a 9 MB file in just under 40 seconds. I will never live without it. Costs $ 59 per month + $ 250 deposit + install of approx $ 40.
