A friend of mine is here on a tourist pass but, exceeded the maximum allowed days to stay in Singapore. What is the penalty for this ?

I did this when i first got here. I was doing the 2 week run to JB and over looked the dates.
They just gave me a little warning and a red chop in my Passport.

I did it a second time and got a $50.00 fine and another little red chop.....

Do not want to do it again but I dont need to do the run anymore anyway!!!!

Tell em to go to Immigration Straght away

Sorry but it is TRUE....
I have the proof in my passport and the reciept for the 50.00 fine. Perhaps the law changed receently, but it was the case for me

I heard there is $500 dollar fine , so this isn't true ?
