Hi,

we will leave SG in mid december. My contract will be finished by end of october, which means last CPF transaction will be mid of november.

Could somebody with experience of this process let us know which are the right steps to terminate PR and withdraw CPF from the account?
The CPF website doesn't say a lot of the entire process!
How fast will they return the money as I want to pay my Income Tax and Credit Cards with this money?

Further it would be interesting which documents are required to terminate and withdraw, as I'm not sure if I need to get documents from homecountry to confirm new adress?

Thanks for your help in advance.

i experienced this 3 years ago when we left.

basically you go into the CPF place robinson rd, and complete a withdrawal form (you provide a forwarding address, and a bank account details).

They will not release the funds until the revenue department (tax) clears you of having paid your taxes, (you even have the option to pay your last tax bill from your CPF)

then they will send the balance to you via cheque or direct deposit. It took about 3-4 weeks after we got back to canada.

Presumably though you need to have cancelled your PR before you can go into the CPF and get them to transfer your CPF.

Hi, I'm a Malaysian / SPR from the East Malaysia.  I would like to withdraw my CPF fund as I'm planning to leave Singapore for good.

The condition states that the withdrawal is for the applicant who has no intention to work or reside in Singapore and West Malaysia anymore.

My worry is, do I still have my Malaysian passport & Malaysian I.D?  Does it also restrict me from working and staying in West Malaysia in the future after the withdrawal although I am a Malaysian?  Will I be having any problem going back and work in my hometown which is in East Malaysia

Please advise.  Thanks.
