Hi,

Is it possible to buy Calpol here?  If not, what is an equivalent?  Also, I tried to buy Junior Neurofen at a pharmacy yesterday, and was told I need a doctor's prescription to get it.  Really??  Thanks.

I have bought kids Nurofen here a couple of times for my kids.  My youngest is 1.5 years old.  I just got it from a large Guardian, I do know that they smaller ones do not stock it.

You can buy children's panadol (paracetamol) in tablet form and you can crunch or dissolve them in water.  You can buy OTC.

I don't think you can buy more than one bottle of the Nurofen at a time so maybe that's why they wouldn't let you buy one.

I just tried to get nurofen today.  Apparently it is a controlled substance and can only be issued with a pharmacist present.  As always, the pharmacist was 'away' for an hour.

Sometimes I really don't 'get' this place.
