While I can't give you the exact percentage for personal taxation here (being a typical creative, numbers confuse me...), your husband's income tax won't exceed 15% and neither will yours - unles you ar earning absolue megabucks. So income tax will be the least of your worries. While personal taxation is very low in Singapore, taxes/duty/gst on "non-essential" items like cars, booze etc, is pretty high. But since the 'essential' items like food and medication are fiarly cheap, it's not really a problem. As i mntioned in my earlier post, the biggest obstacles you will probably face may be boredom for you (until you start work again) and the very long hours your husband will in all probability have to work.
