Hi. I'm from India and am currently working in tax free Dubai - have been offered a job in Singapore with an Indian company starting Jan 1. Not sure what I need to ask for in the package. After reading some of the posts here I am confused. they r ready to pay me
5800S$/per month
inclusive of all. myself married n have 5 year old kid,the amount will carry over my house rent,school,day to expenses,travel in n around, can any one tell me what is the expart package for
MANAGER
with qualification of MBA, they ready to medical, flights home annually etc. The company have asked me to basically tell them what I want - I'm afraid of missing out on some important things since I dont know the market. Any advice appreciated. Any suggestions on where to look. All replies much appreciated.

Dude, its gonna be difficult for you to raise your family here on that salary. What industry are you in? Is the offer at least 25% more than what you are getting in dxb? Will your wife also be working? Are you considering the move for the money or for the experience?
Do take note that singapore is as expensive as dxb nowadays. A good 2 BR HDB flat will cost around S$1600-1800 per month, while a decent 2 BR condo can cost anywhere from S$2500-15000 monthly.

check this guys' post (Is 5000pm a decent salary for a fresh biz grad-under jobs & employment). hes got 3 yrs xperience.
for your xperience probably S$8K+++.
I guess living modestly would be a good way to start, but then again..at least S$8k..with many exclusions...they didnt tell that its an expat package did they??

hi all, i am a bachelor/male/25 and i have been offered a job in Dubai (USD 120000) and Singapore (USD 110000) pa. both offers are quite good but i am not sure which one to take. do you think the salary offered is good enough to manage in dubai and singapore? as a bachelor, which city will have more to offer? i love singapore but i am biased as i have been there before and have friends. dubai is a new territory....not sure what to expect....will really appreciate if anyone here can help me in evaluating the offer and also give some on views on these two cities? thanks for your time....

Dubai is a great party city. Great if you are single. Singapore is family city, great if you are married. Dubai isn't great if you are yellow, Singapore is rubbish if you are brown or dark, both cities are neutral if you are pink.
Go dubai, more to do, more fun, plus if you don't like it you can always fall back on Singapura
