Libby - There is a riding facility in Johor Baru - right across the bridge into Malaysia - another reason for a car.  From Woodlands it's probably 30-40 minutes including the border crossing except for rush hour.

There is also a stables in Singapore off Eng Neo road.

Years ago I knew a guy who transported his horse as "family pets" was in quite a colusion with the shipper. He got caught and had to pay the shipping costs back.

You could google  riding for the disabled singapore as they could be an organisation you may wish to get involved with.  They would probably also advise you on shipping horses and where (if anywhere) to keep one!

Lizby,

If you get club membership (or even not) as part of your package look at the Polo Club as one of your options. I only went a couple of times as a guest, but it seemed very quiet and spacious...with of course - horses.

An area you might like to look at re a yard is Clementi - a little area where (I think) all the streets have Sunset in the name.

It certainly would be very convenient to Jurong, I am not so sure re SAS - anyone?Huh

It really does look like a regular Western suburb in the middle of Singapore. Lots of expats and dogs!

Easy peasy to SAS from Clementi. 2 mins north on Clementi and up onto BKE (Bukit Timah Expressway) straight to Woodlands and SAS is just off expressway.
