Hi friends,

I applied for my SPR in feb 2008 its being more than 3 months and there is no reply from ICA. I called them and asked they say
"UNDER PROCESS" .Anybody faced similar issue before.

I heared from some of guys that if processing time is more than 3 months the PR is likely to be rejected and they say usually if approved the PR would come within 3 months , Am so worried on this. Any advise, comment would be of great help . thanks for all

Depending on each individual application details, country of origin and supporting documents, SPR application can take up to 6 months long to process.

It is because sometime the officer need more times to consider and random check the authentic of all the documents.

So don't worry about it if you are qualify then you should get it.

We got the approval in 2 months time, I know others in my company that have received their approvals, some in 3 months and others up to 8 months later. There is not way to know exactly how long the process will take as it is a somehow gray the criteria applied for approval, age, nationality, income, lenght of stay. So it could take longer, a good sign may be the fact that even after 3 months is "under review" and not rejected/declined, so just wait.

I just applied for my PR on Friday. I asked the lady at the ICA how long it would take and she said "at LEAST 3 months" so probably just busy at the moment as so many applications to process.

Good luck!

I applied in Feb and they recently came back to me and asked for CVs from all my family members (unbelievable). So it’s been on hold while I try to accumulate all the detailed information they are asking for. In the meantime I have applied for a PEP which is a whole lot easier and quicker.

I applied for PR in the middle of March, and on 5th of May the embassy of my husband's origin called him to sign some documents to accept ICA doing investigation and confirmation on his personal profile. For my case it's still under the normal processing time, but one of my colleague applied for PR last year (Dec 2007) yet still under processing till now while other of my colleagues already got their PR within only 3 or 4 months.

so...let's be patient and keep waiting, hope everyone here have good news soon Cheesy

My PR took 5 months to be processed. I finally received it mid-way through 2008.

Be patient!
