Forgot to mention salary - could be anything!  Depends on the institution.  Some places pay a set salary, others pay an hourly rate which can be anything from S$30 - 80, with 80 being 'proper' institutions and only for very well-qualified and experienced staff.  If you are paid an hourly rate and you don't get allocatred hours, you are in trouble.  With your qualifications and no experience, you would probably be at the lower end of the scale.  (You need a degree to get approved to teach by the Ministry of Education here, without which you will not get a work permit, so just about all teachers have a degree.)

PS you can expect to work evenings and weekends, especially if you are teaching children.  Singaporean children don't really need pure EFL because the medium of instruction in schools is English.  They need 'extension and polishing'.
