My partner and I have been trying to get pregnant for quite some time. We have tried fertility drugs and now our specialist in Hong Kong has suggested IVF. We were all set to start this tomorrow when I received an email from him today asking us to bring our marriage certificate along.

Apparently in Hong Kong there is legislation that requires all couples having IVF to be married.
We are obviously devastated as NOBODY has thought to tell us this essential bit of info.

We are relocating to Singapore in just a couple of months so I need....
1.) a recomendation for a great fertility specialist
2.) info on whether can I legally have IVF treatment without being married?.

Many thanks in advance.

Friends had to get married before IVF here as well.  But you should check first.
