I have a friend who moved out of 4br at Costa Rhu last November. The LL tried to increase the rent from 5K to 10K. He countered with 7.500 which was turned down so he moves out.
Now, we both know for a fact that the unit is still empty after 7 months. Imagine how much the LL would have made had he accepted the counter offer. Now he is left with nothing.
On the other hand, I heard of an Australian family who signed 10K unit there recently (don't know how big ) so the LL just has to find one person who has no clue of the market
