Can anyone please kindly advise where I might find this tea? BRP at Tanglin Mall is out of stock, and I could desperately use the help the tea provides. I would be most grateful for your help!

There's a small natural foods shop at the bottom of The Forum, near Spinelli's. They have a good selection of teas.

Thomson Medical Center sells a soup which works very well, too.

Stout is supposed to help. In Victorian times wet nurses were furnished with an unlimited allowance of stout.
My wife liked it mixed 50/50 with champagne

If it's mother's milk tea you need, try nature's glory at Tan Boon Liat building along Zion road. Can google for contact.

You could try and put your baby to the breast if you are pumping.  (Its the only way I can imagine you know your milk is drying up).  Pumping is nowhere near as efficient for milk production as the real thing.

Try feeding the baby direct when you are home and pumping at other times.  Its all about supply and demand.

I would second the vote on Fenugreek - you can get the tablets in GNC but you may find that you stink of Fenugreek for a few days!!

You will indeed have that "eau de curry" fragrance so be warned, and if you take it long enough so will the baby!  it didn't work for me so i ended up pumping relentlessly between feeds which was such a drag.  Personally i am not convinced there are any herbs/fruits/fish that can solve what is essentially a supple-and-demand issue.  good luck!

Well, me too.  Not much seemed to aid.  In hindsight I think I was stressed (and continuously tired) during the breast-feeding periods and I think that makes a big difference to supply.

Perhaps this is where the idea of the beer helping comes in.....it relaxes!

Hi
My baby's 5 months now and I started work when he was 3 months. To boost my milk supply (as I pump at work) I took fenugreek tablets as advised and also ate oats once everyday (easy for breakfast). I found that both of these helped me a lot. Of course, this is over and above trying to increase frequency of feeding and trying to pump in between feeds whenever I can, like on weekends and holidays, which are primary ways to boost supply.

No harm trying! I guess it works for some.

All the best!

Thank you all very much for your kindness!

I found the tea at the Forum today, and will try some of the other helpful suggestions as well!

if you get really desperate and all these other things don't work, try taking motillium in tablet form. You get it over the counter at the pharmacy desk at Tanglin Mall pharmacy (opp. marketplace). It's for nausea, but the side effect in lactating (breastfeeding) mothers is that it increases lactation (milk supply). I used it for 3 months when my daughter was born as she was preemie and I could not put her to my breast to stimulate supply/demand (despite relentless pumping). Taking motillium meant I breastfed her my milk in a bottle for the first 3 months of her life, and I like to think it made a huge difference to both her and I. I tried everything else (fenugreek, tea, soup, you name it) but sometimes stress just overrides 'natural' remedies - that's when motillium proved to be excellent. You can also get it in syrup form at Dr Belinda's (Mt E). Good luck.

One thing you should NEVER eat is parsley!  My aunt has a farm and she feed parsley to her cow to stop producing milk!
