President Robert Mugabe said today "only God" can remove him from office, as Zimbabwe's opposition considered pulling out of next week's runoff election amid escalating violence.

"The MDC will never be allowed to rule this country -- never ever," Mugabe told local business people in Zimbabwe's second city Bulawayo, referring to the opposition Movement for Democratic Change.

"Only God who appointed me will remove me -- not the MDC, not the British."

Ahhh faith...is there any wrong deed it can't justify?HuhHuhHuhHuh

Well, Mugabe might want to check his relationship with his deity. The South Africans could do it if they had the desire.

Well, in that case, let's arrange for Mugabe to meet up with God ASAP...

... with apologies to General Norman Schwarzkopf

He is a dangerous, murdering, pathetic in every sense of the word, old man held hostage by his generals who are just as bad as him.  Sadly for Zim they do not care about the people they say they have the democratic right to "rule".  Karma happens but sadly not fast enough for these devil spawn.

Mugabe, Kim Jong Il, The military Junta in Burma.  All incompetent, corrupt and unelected 'leaders.'  The World collectively shrugs their shoulders at these abusers, doing nothing about it and shielding their cowardly inaction under the excuse of non-intereference in domestic affairs.  Human rights DO matter - government systems are designed for the well-being of the people.  It is a travesty

It was reported in yesterday's "Today" newspaper that he is here in Singapore at the moment having undisclosed medical treatment.
