Can anyone recommend a good wet market in this area?
I have seen a small one near Eunos Station and I hear there is one near Parkway Parade but apparently it closes at 12. I am sure there must be more of them hidden away on little backstreets that I don’t know about.
(BTW I searched through the archives and found loads on wet markets but not in this area)
Thanks
Ade

There is one on Old Airport Road. Closest interesection is Mountbatten and Old Airport Road (diagonally opposite ot McDonalds)
Another and much bigger one is the Geylang Serai/Sims Market near the Malay Village. Note: No pork sold here

There's one behind the two garages on Mountbatten Rd, opposite the school of the arts. If you get the bus to Marine Parade HDB estate (after Telok Kurau Rd on Marine Parade), there's another one there (closed on Mondays though).
The one by parkway doesn't close completely at 12, it's open all day, but the wet stalls might have finished up early as they go home when/if they sell up. The latest I've been is around 12.30pm and there were still some open.

If you aren't at any wet market by 10am latest you might as well not bother.
Best stuff has long gone.
