Need advice...... as i personally found this abit yucky.

Last nite, a toad appeared in our garden (we just moved from condo to a house)so we don't really like the idea of a toad's visit. It was croaking loudly and we finally manage to catch it and release it to the drain outside.

Then this morning, when I was feeding the fish at our water feature.... I saw our water plants, a chain (more than 60 cm) of transparent stuff with black dots in it. It was also found on the peddle on top of our feature!!! I didn't see it the day before. Was wondering if it is the eggs of the toad and I am thinking what I should do with it SOON. Pls advise.

You sure it was a toad? Because frogs are plentiful & very useful, keeping down grubs, eating mozzie larvae etc. They don't bite! Sounds like spawn in the pond, but the survival rate is fairly low....

This is new to me. What should I do? Can I just clear away? I don't want frog breeding in my water feature. Will they eat my small fishes.

Was thinking of keeping some separately in a separate container,etc... as science observation for kids.

But we cannot stand the thot of having frogs around. My girl and me went hysterical when my fil was trying to catch the frog! We were so worried it hop into the house.

That's just pathetic.  You live in the tropics, you have to get used to it.  I could undertand if it was a king cobra or a python crawling around your garden - but a frog??  It's not exactly going to kill you, is it?

The fish will eat the tadpoles (baby frogs).

the older local saying that... ''a toad appearance is usually associated with a snake nearby''... i'm not sure about the truth to this saying but please take care.
