In 2002 the SGD was worth more than the AUD. We may see that happen again, but who knows?
Cause? People selling AUD due to falling interest rates in Australia and the (perceived) end of the commodities boom.
There's more talk in today's SMH re another interest rate cut, so get ready to move your Aussie mortgage to SGD. It's becoming a reasonable risk now.
