My family's packing up to head home. I'm now trying to rent / sell my terrace house and would like some advise. It's a 5 bedroom + 5 bathroom terrace in a cluster housing block, meaning pools, gym, condo facilities in a community environment etc. It's close to the American school so I'm presuming only an american family or someone with kids schooling there would live in this part of the island. Question is : would these families typically rent a place furnished or unfurnished? I'm wondering whether to pack up my furniture, TVs, etc. Any ideas?

Rent furnished and sell unfurnished..

The quality of the furniture can make a big difference to the rental value. A few stylish pieces and some quality appliances will be a lot more marketable than a house full of clutter..

Your definition of stylish may be different to mine.

Quality appliances I agree with.

Different people have different views.  Also Western vs Asian.

Also since furniture rental is not difficult here I'd go unfurnished for sure.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Think I'll leave it open to negotiating with viewers. Hopefully I can rent it out before i have to pack so i know whether to bring the furniture or not.

Yes, if you are open to viewers opinions and ready to remove all furniture you should not have a problem. I have just rented an apt, but had to give up on several before this one because LL wanted their funriture to stay. I had my own furniture, and as others menioned the style was not my liking. Furniture is very personal.

If your potential market is Americans I'd be tempted to leave the electrical stuff. Theirs won't work here (?) so it'd save them buying new.

Yes... it's really subjective. We had a partial furnished and we promised the tenant new bed and appliances as we moved it to our new place. We even got a new mattress and divan for the tenant but they wanted to use their own bed. So in the end, we end up giving the bed we got away. So it's probably good to keep it open.
