Congratulations America.  At last you made the right decision.  The rest of the world looks forward to a time of peace, diplomacy and conciliation...

It will be a great time to see the light of America shine forth unto the world again, the second rising of power of ideals.  I am glad to be alive to see it.

Yes, agree with OP. I am not from the US but feel like today is the day that will change the world as it is. I think I'll always remember where I was when I heard that BO had been elected President.

Now all we need is an inspiring leader in the UK and we will all be quids in.

John McCain: Legend, even in defeat.  That was the most gracious concession speech i've ever seen in 50 years of my voting life.  He is a real American hero, despite his loss.

I suggest "The Blackhouse" or maybe even "The Crackhouse".....

a President who is going to raise taxes and increase social spending is not exactly what is needed during a recession!

"This will make race relations much worse than before."

Is this because they knew their place before but now you will get all these uppity ***ers?

I am sure they said the same back in the 60's when Civil Rights were granted and apartheid was starting to be eradicated in the good ol US of A

Grapes sour today are they?

Personally I'm very happy Obama won, altough I would have preferred Hillary Clinton.

I have no problem with those who preferred John McCain because they preferred his policies, or to dislike Obama because of his.

But to dislike/slag off/criticise a candidate on the basis of race? How old/stupid are you? Foreign talent? I hope not!

CONGRATULATIONS TO AMERICA!!!!!  It is time for change and the majority agreed.

On raising taxes, may want to take a look at that closely.  McCain would have raised taxes to a higher level for MIDDLE INCOME FAMILIES(aka joe the Plumber).  Get with it.

As for social reform, it's damn straight about time.  Or would you prefer to continue to spend excessive amounts on the wars and continue to not pay attention to your own backyard that needs tending to?

You are apparently racist and luckily ignorant people such as yourself are dwindling in numbers.  Thank goodness!!!!!

isn't it equally stupid to praise a candidate because of his race?
