I am British.

And very proud of my country's history.
I recently watched a documentary in south America on CNN. It was in Spanish!!!!! On cable!!!

It was about India. In summary, the booming economy was being hampered by the road and rail infrastructure which coped, just, with today's booming economy notwithstanding the virtual absence of new roads, new rail networks or even serious maintenance.

The report concluded, this road and rail system was built during the British Raj.
