Hi, there, I'm wondering if there are anyone around who would be interested in a conversational language exchange?
I'm moving to sg from china in two month,my pronunciation is not very well and I want to learn standard southern British English to improve my spoken English.
we might exchange our language skills, such as i teach you Chinese, you help me improve my  spoken English for free.

How about Coastal Southeastern Cajun English with a slight Tidewater accent?

Where in China are you from?  If you don't have standard Beijing pronounciation then no thanks.

I don‘t know about it 。my pronunciation is not very well,it is absence of confidence when i speaking english.
we can learn each orther if u are interest in mandarin:)

I come from the north.In fact ,Standard Mandarin is on the basis of Beijing pronounciation.but
Beijing accent is not Standard Mandarin,
it's ok,I think Beijing pronounciation sound nice:)
I look “ the standard southern British English” out in the dictionary,I've forgotten the exact words,maybe i should wrote it “native English language”?

No problem, I thought you were specifically after Southern England pronounciation, whatver that is.  Never mind, I will email you and we'll see if we can set up a language exchange.

The accent you are after is called 'RP' or 'received pronunciation'.  It's the standard English that BBC newsreaders used to speak.  Although nowadays, having a regional accent seems to be a prerequisite for getting a job at the BBC....

Yes,There are many English lovers to listen the BBC in CHINA.The accent sounds nice.
I'm studying English in Singapore school now,It is difficult to understand teachers Singlish:(

The accent you are after is called 'RP' or 'received pronunciation'.  It's the standard English that BBC newsreaders used to speak.  Although nowadays, having a regional accent seems to be a prerequisite for getting a job at the BBC....
