Hi folks,

Here is what I read from an article from a US website which is telling """"Postdoctoral salaries in National University of Singapore's IMRE Institute range from $US 67,700 to $155,700. This compares favorably with the most prestigious postdoctoral positions in the U.S. (Oppenheimer fellowships, $93-98,000) and exceeds typical postdoctoral salaries at U.S. universities of $32-$50,000 and national laboratories at $60-64,000.""

I would like to know  whether its true or not. If not then can somebody tell me the exact postdoctoral salaries at the IMRE institute??

waiting for some good response.

warm regards
Junta

IMRE is an A*STAR institute like the ones at Biopolish  Wink. If OP is accurate, salaries should be about the same. Doubt if it would be less than IMRE because Biopolis is currently the "star" of A*STAR.

A*star is not renowned for doing negotiations unless you are top notch scientist or great PI.  So if you are anything less, you have very little say in negotiation.  It is basically a take it or leave it attitude.

What do you mean by civil service recommendation ?
