I would like to know whether its true or not. If not then can somebody tell me the exact postdoctoral salaries at the IMRE institute??

IMRE is an A*STAR institute like the ones at Biopolish  . If OP is accurate, salaries should be about the same. Doubt if it would be less than IMRE because Biopolis is currently the "star" of A*STAR. |

A*star is not renowned for doing negotiations unless you are top notch scientist or great PI. So if you are anything less, you have very little say in negotiation. It is basically a take it or leave it attitude.
