Hi folks,
I have heard normallly for employment P pass there is no medical exam required specially for those people working in europe or US to somewhat for australians as well as japanese who wants to come to singapore.

I would like to know whether its true or if not what are the medical tests normally needed for P-pass and can  somebody do the necessary medical check ups in his home country or at the work place provided its in a foreign country??

P.S. please keep this thread alive.

best wishes

You just sign a form saying you don't have hiv and maybe something else and if they find you do you get kicked out.

They may test randomly a few applicants, don't know.

What happens if I already have PR?  I have had a PR for 6 years (original and one renewal).  There was no medical test for the renewal.  I was diagnosed Hiv+ this year in Bangkok. I have been living in Bangkok for the past 2 years but still have my PR.  Is the only way they (Govt) would know and deport, is if a new employer required Hiv testing and then notified the Govt?
Has anyone had experience along these lines?

Reporting of positive HIV results is mandatory under Singapore law - the only place for anonymous testing is the Action for Aids clinic.

If your new employer requires an HIV test, then yes - your name will be reported to the authorities.
