Some examples of todays reading at a property site:

- "At 41st & 42nd level you will forget the view. Own outdoor Jacuzzi within unit."

- "Only the Rich and Famous need apply"

- "Huge potential to refurbish as a cosy resort. Unspoilt borrowed views"

- "Elegant design 600K reno +furniture+ build in lighting system will be under the package of sell"

And the best today:

- "Experience a dream home unlike any other. Not a mere figment of fantasy lying at the ends of the Earth, but a concrete embodiment of privacy, exclusivity and prestige befitting the elite of the world, Paradise Island, located in the recesses of the prestigious Sentosa Cove development, is an extraordinary residential precinct"

Good luck with your purchase.  All the laughter will be worth it when you eventually find your dream home.  Don't let any of the bear trolls dissuade you.  Wink

My favorite from the classified ads is 'Almost Sold'.

My favorite from the classified ads is 'Almost Sold'.

And that euphemism they love here "cosy" which invariably replaces "tiny and cramped"

I like 'Manhattan View' (at The Sail, used to describe looking into the office cubicles at ORQ)

Which part of Singapore is Manhaton? I've only seen the Bay views. Is it part of Chinatown?

Rare unit - in a project with 500 units where no less than 30 others are for sale...

Beautiful unblocked sunset to enjoy every night - referring to direct afternoon sun facing and living in an oven

Lovingly maintained original condition - referring to the fact that nothing has been upgraded for 10 years (since owner first got wind of en bloc potential)

En bloc potential - ie. You should pay well over last transacted price for this really old and rundown unit because one day a developer might actually be able to get construction financing again

Beautiful pocket seaview - meaning if you stand on tiptoes, with your head at an uncomfortable angle, you might just glimpse the really nice view that the neighbouring building 15 meters in front of your unit enjoys completely

Nobody at their PCs, everyone is out viewing so as not to miss the boat.

Will be spending whole of next week on a boat, assumng. Don't miss it.

Luckily this will spare me the inane guff here.

When I get back I assume the sail will have either doubled or halved (don't care which).

In the mean time I expact the sheep here will have used the word "bleat" at least 200 times.

I love the little Freudian slip here....you wanted to say 'expect' but you were about to use the word "sheep" so instead it almost came out as 'expat'

Junie,  don't waste your time asking JBA for any facts, evidence or actual data.  She is an idiot who only makes wild statements with ridiculous claims, and NEVER responds to requests for evidence or analysis.
