.........that they probably won't help me to lose weight, but does the massage and treatment do anything for saggy skin?  After having children, I've got some loose skin and stretchmarks there - I can't afford a tummy tuck, but maybe the massage and creams that they use might help.

Or can anyone suggest anywhere else that does this kind of treatment?

My children aren't babies, so the afterbirth wraps etc probably wouldn't work.

Creams and massages will not help - these slimming centers sell false promises of bogus treatments (in thousand dollar contract packages).

What will help:

1) Get fit. It will help your posture and overall fat level.
2) Do your own daily moisturizing treatments to keep your skin as hydrated as possible. A one off treatment won't help, moisturizing is a daily commitment.
3) Eat healthy, healthful foods.
4) Go ahead and get massages, from professionals at quality spas, because they will help you feel good about your body, psychologically.
5) Learn to love your tummy just the way it is.

Tummy tuck is really the only way to solve the problem. But these other tips may help?

I have a package at a well known slimming centre. They turned the thumb screws on me and I signed up for a package I can't really afford.

I've done things the sensible, slow way, changed my life style, and exercise and eat healthily (not easy to do this out here in Singapore I've found).

I do still go to the slimming centre and will do until the package finishes. They have advised me to eat only enough to keep a small bird alive and believe exercise is a no no. They put you in a sauna for half an hour, at a high temperature. Then give you a body scrub and heat you again in a hot blanket. Guess what, you come out lighter!

They keep trying to get me to drink their revolting meal replacement drinks and not to eat anything but salad leaves with them and to substitute them for my normal evening meal.

All in all you will lose weight if you follow their programme but it is not sustainable longer term. If only I'd had this great idea! I'd be very rich by now! They prey on those of us that don't feel so  great about our bodies, I was one!

Incidentally when I go in I see very few ladies that have anything more than a normal BMI which suggests other issues.

i know a girl who went to do chemical peel (has a lot of acme), like the PP they signed her up for all sorts of treatments and everything was going well, she saw a lot of good results with the peel.

she slowly cut down on her "other" treatments and just as she was at her last chemical peel they burnt her face ! poor soul was so upset and she was going to sign up for a treatment package anyways.

now she purchased 12 more "peels" and told me shes going to stop at the 8th or else they`ll burn her again.

Are we having a contest on here for coming up with the best non sequitur or something?? PP wins, I think.

Weight training with the help of a personal trainer has helped me the most.

If they are making false promises or treatments are bogus, how come there are so many of them?

You do get the results, it's just the results are not sustainable in the longer term. So you sign up again and again...
