All these condo's are roughly in the same areas.... the place will become one HUGE building site :-( and won't this mean that those renting apartments in these places will all be scrabling about for what apartments will be left within their budgets?  Prices will rocket due to so many looking, or am I over reacting?
When the new condo's are then completed surely they will cost much more to rent out than the older  places, therefore pushing the market again?

Yes, that's right.  All the apartments will be sold together as a block to a developer and all tenants will be given notice to move out so the developers can move in.  Unless you need very short term rental, DON'T RENT THEM!!!

Sounds like a heck of a lot of developments around Holland/Farrer/Queensway.  What a pity, it is such an easy place to live.  Sigh.

Nassim park has been sold enbloc but I spoke to an agent today who is asking me to sign a 2 year lease there. What is that all about? I guess he wants to earn the full one month's commission or something.

I am looking for a temporary place for 6 months while I am waiting for my house to be completed, so not willing to sign for 2 years. He was happy to tell me that if the developer takes the place over early they will give me 2 months' notice to get out. I asked if this could happen in 6 months and he said maybe... Maddening.
