Three years of construction is due to start early 2007 on the Cascadia, a massive condo located along Bukit Timah Rd. The land runs along behind the Wilby Residence and the uneven numbered bungalows along Brizay Park. You have been warned.

Are you all sure that it has been sold? I thought that it was still up in the air.

Is there a web site where you can find this information?

Yes Nassim Park finalised - landlords have generally notified tennants.

To the person who is looking to rent there - it still has to go to the Strata Titles board for approval then from that date (of approval) it will be six months for tennants to move out.

Although the surveyors have already moved in.

Still confused . . . does "en bloc achieved" mean that some agreement was reached and tenants don't have to move out - or an agreement was reached and they do have to move out?  Are the buidings torn down, rennovated or resold?

If I'm looking now - what do I want to avoid?

achieved means enough of the owners have agreed to sell to a developer and if they find (or may have already found) a developer then, yes, the buildings will be renovated or torn down and all the tenants will be given notice to move out.  But there is a lot of red tape involved and the process can take months even after the owners have agreed to sell.

So that Nassim Park agent was talking through his rear end?

This post is an excellent example of how much we expats need to help each other out.

Imagine moving into a place and spending money on new furnitures and fittings in the mistaken belief that one has the place for 2 years only to discover after a couple of months that the place has been sold enbloc and one has to move out and find a new place.

These agents are amazingly barefaced.
