to Expat Source - thanks for the info.

I have been living at Nassim Park for over 2 years now and haven't been told anything by my landlord.

Whilst I am sad about the destruction of the place, I am also saddened by the thought of the possibilty of the loss of employment of the people who attend to the gardens, maintenance, etc.

On the brighter side, those who have leases about to expire can really get a good deal if they decide to stay on for a bit longer. I know that if I wanted to stay on I'd offer a much lesser amount.

Hi Nassim

I know what you mean - the staff here are wonderful, the management is really user friendly and helpful and the guards are great.

I am sorry you haven't been told.  Most of us learned about it from the article in the Financial Times (well took then that it was confirmed), there seems to be lots of surveying going on so the new developers seem keen.

I hope you find a great place or if your moving out of Singapore that it goes well for you.

For the person asking what do you mean enbloc - it's been explained a couple of times in the thread and hopefully that will explain it for you.

Two more up for collective sale, notices outside of the blocks.

Finlands Gardens
Rose Garden

Closure of Rose Garden will have a big effect on the local paramount housing situation !

Anyone heard anything about Whitley Heights? Lots of expats renting the 3 storey walk-up apartments there.

Add to potential list -->

Fairways Condominium.

May be a couple of years away though, a vote in July only achieved 40 - 50% agreement.

The apartment I am renting has recently been sold for it's enbloc potential. Only moved in in June...

I was happy to take the chance with the knowledge that it can take 1 - 1.5 yrs for the process to reach the stage when tennants are forced to move out.

Do you think that just about every 'old' condo complex (with great proportions) should be marked as having enbloc potential?

Many of those buildings are good and solid, properly-built (though not necessarily well-maintained).

They'll be replaced with 'cheap' constructions with flooring and walls that you can hear your neighbours through

Anyone know what stage this one is at?

I live right next door in Sommerville Park. It seems that pretty soon SP will be surrounded by construction. Such a shame as it is a lovely place to live.

Been told it will take up to 2 years before having to move.  We'll see.

So does that mean that Villa Delle Rose has already been sold to a developer or have they only achieved their 80%?
