I have 3 years experience, so am a newbie too.  The wages between the int'l schools can vary widely here in s'pore, but most will be a livable situation at least.  Do your research--there's enough int'l schools in this town that you could certainly find something for next year, if not a mid-year replacement for maternity coverage or someone leaving in January.

Just want to make a point about newbies.  Any half decent international school will expect you to have a minimum of two years experience.  The schools that take fresh graduates tend to pay poorly and treat their staff badly.  If you are straight out of college they you should get a couple of years experience before you move abroad (here or another country)
